Wearable Art: Why I Create Stories Instead of Ordinary Accessories
Some people create accessories.
I create stories that can be worn.
That simple idea has guided every piece I have embroidered over the years.
When I begin a new design, I don't ask myself, "What should I make next?"
Instead, I ask, "What story do I want this piece to tell?"
Sometimes that story begins with the colors of the ocean.
Sometimes it starts with a beloved pet, a tiny mushroom found during an autumn walk, a blooming flower, or a curious lobster that makes people smile.
Inspiration is everywhere.
The challenge is transforming it into something people can carry with them every day.
That is what wearable art means to me.
Every brooch, patch, and embroidered creation is made by hand using thousands of carefully selected glass beads, crystals, sequins, and embroidery stitches. Every bead is placed individually, allowing each design to develop naturally, one stitch at a time.
I don't create separate products.
I create a world of artistic embroidery where everyone can find something that feels personal.
Some people choose a brooch because it reminds them of home.
Others wear one because it reflects their personality.
Some buy a handmade piece as a meaningful gift that becomes a lifelong memory.
Every customer brings a different story.
That is what makes handmade art so special.
No two creations are ever exactly alike.
Every piece carries the time, patience, craftsmanship, and emotion that only handmade work can offer.
I don't create collections based on trends.
I create stories that people can wear.
My hope is that every embroidered piece becomes more than an accessory.
I hope it becomes part of someone's life, memories, and personal journey.
